Good qualified instructors are at a premium for a very rewarding
career packed with job satisfaction and preference is given
to those we train.
Regulations and examination requirements changed in 1985 and
will continue to change. On the 4th January 2000 the Theory
examination was changed to touch screen technology it includes
questions on the theory and practice of learning and more changes
to come. The number of attempts at the driving ability test
(Part 2) and the instructional ability test (Part 3) has been
limited to three attempts for each part.
Your instruction will always be on a "One
to One" basis.
You can rest assured as to the quality of training you will
receive as our tuition does comply with the Official Register
of Driving Instructor Trainers" O.R.D.I.T." I am no newcomer
to ADI training with over 37years experience. In all that time
very few trainees have failed the Driving Standards Agency's
theory examination after completing our foundation course.
As a former examiner of driving instructors for the R.A.C.,
I was responsible for examining Instructors who wished to be
Registered Instructors. I was an ADINJC TUTOR a requisite for
which is to pass the DSA's Cardington special 'A' driving test.
A founder member of the National A.D.I. Tutor Group and an
assessor for the College of Driver Education, Roadcraft is
on the "O.R.D.I.T." "Official Driving Instructor Training" centre
covering Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset although we often
train instructors from much further afield.
Just
a few pieces of advice
Driving Instructor Trainers do not have
any legal obligation to be qualified and many are not. The
School may be "ORDIT" (Official
Register of Driving Instructor Training, which Roadcraft is).
Only qualified trainers will display a certificate like the
one on the left on their car windscreen. No certificate, no
qualification.
Be very wary of "Too good to be true" advertisements.
They probably are just that. Ask for proof.
Whichever Trainer you choose NEVER part
with large amounts of money 'up front' after all it may not
be the job for you and getting your money back may prove
difficult.
Have lessons on a one to one basis and avoid having tiring
lessons which last all day.

or an assessment as
to your suitability please do not hesitate to telephone me.
